A Human Approach

Aha Moment Monday

Reading time: 44 seconds

Do you learn deliberately?
I mean, in your day, you always have so much to do. There are constant demands on your time, right?
How challenging is it to actually carve out pockets to feed your mind? It’s tough enough to stay “on” the curve never mind ahead of it!

Maybe the question is, “What is the backlash when we don’t?”

Just when you think you’ve mastered your phone, a new model is announced.
Just when you think you’ve finished your budget, expenditures for upgrades and renovations come into play.
Just when you think your HR program supports your entire team, the government introduces new legislations.
Just when you think your marketing plan is iron-clad, new surveys show a shift in buying patterns.

Aha! “In times of change learners inherit the earth; while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.” ~ Eric Hoffer

When it comes to your craft “mastery” is an evolving process.
Being an “expert” means you not only have a skilled ability, you are plugged in to change.

It’s easy to get so busy “doing” that the idea of “advancing” might seem like we’re inviting overload; but “advancing” is the Universe’s intention for us.
Growth is inherent in our nature.
In fact, it’s startling when we realize we can do w-a-y more than for what we give ourselves credit.

Oh – here’s an idea!
When you write in your gratitude journal, add what you’re thankful for learning today.
And stay curious.
