There’s a time to play it safe and there’s a time to take a risk
Risk-taking can be, well, risky business.
But think about it. If no decision is a decision then isn’t not taking a risk, taking a risk?
You might think you’re creating vulnerability by risking change but perhaps by not changing, you may be risking being left behind!
It is accepted to say that “safe” is the opposite of “risk” but by playing it safe, what are you risking?
My dad always said, “Idle hands make an idle mind”. In other words if you’re not experiencing you’re not advancing.
And since there is no such living being that’s static – you’re either growing or dying – by playing it safe, you’re actually shutting down.
