My son and I were looking on line at a house for sale not far from us.
It was on the market for a little over $14 million CAD.
It had five bedrooms, even more bathrooms (one in which had a fireplace), a killer pool in the backyard overlooking Lake Ontario, inviting games and theatre room, and just so much more.
Even though it was a tad (!) out of our price range we had the conversation about what it would be like to live there.
Interesting that the entire conversation revolved around entertaining….it wasn’t the potential of ownership that excited us, it was with whom we could enjoy it all.
Aha – it’s called “The Mesh”.
Turns out the attitude has a name and is part of a movement around us that is growing, reforming and engaging many of us.
According to Lisa Gansky (Instigator in Residence) “It’s shaping how we go to market, who we partner with and how we find new customers. One by one people are realizing that things are truly best shared.”
Ownership feeds the ego.
Sharing feeds the soul.
