Aha Moment Monday
It’s fascinating to experience the Law of Reciprocity in action.
Sometimes the response is immediate, like smiling and having someone smile back at you.
Other times it takes its own sweet time to deliver the result, like acquiring the perfect executive assistant.
The Law of Reciprocity states that what we put out into the cosmos in the way of energy – thoughts, feelings, emotions – will manifest itself in physical form.
Essentially, the outcome unfolds based on what we broadcast.
I had a fear of big bodies of water.
Years ago I was encouraged to parasail and, with fear and trepidation, I agreed and was hoisted into the air from the back of a boat. The flying part was awesome but when the boat driver decided to slow the boat to “dip” my toes into the water, the result was horrifying. As he sped up the boat in an effort to bring me back into the air, I did the opposite. I spun under water like a lure on a fishing rod, with hardly a breath. Eventually the driver stopped the boat, at which point I came to the surface, bruised and traumatized.
My fear of the water being more powerful than I, was delivered in real form.
Aha – thoughts become things
The Law of Reciprocity is a sub-law of the Law of Vibration and interconnected with the Law of Attraction. It’s precise and dependable.
The sheer knowledge that we have that kind of power – to send out intention and anticipate receiving it in true form – is really quite spectacular but knowing that we’re energy beings, all part of a unified field, helps to make it make sense.
Now here’s the thing: The Law makes no judgment as to what your thoughts or emotions are, it simply delivers that which you think about.
And don’t think you can trick the Law by saying one thing but secretly or subconsciously expect something different. The expectation, whether it be conscious or engrained, will win every time.
The hurdle is that much of your patterned thinking was established when you were too young to filter it.
And now your actions are a mirror of that belief mosaic.
But they don’t have to be.
Want to change it up for 2017?
Identify one paradigm – one long-standing belief – that doesn’t align with your goals.
Then decide – right here, right now – you’re going to replace it with a new, empowering belief.
Get emotionally charged with that new thought and get into action.
See you at the top!
P.S. I have replaced my “fear” of big bodies of water with “respect” and now enjoy every aspect of their magnificence. Amazing the difference one small change can make.
