Aha! Moment Monday
When you drive down the highway, you can’t help but notice that the government has imposed a speed limit.
When you find a good special, the store imposes a quantity limit.
When you purchase a home, the bank imposes a credit limit.
It doesn’t matter where you turn, there are limits.
Limits to cell phone usage.
Limits to how much you should eat.
Limits to how many days off you can take from work.
And as with any limit, when you push the envelope – cross the line – there may be consequences.
But what about the limits imposed on your potential? You know, the ones you’ve been conditioned to accept relating to who you are, what you deserve, how much money you should make, whether you’re smart enough to write a book….?
Now, maybe your parents and teachers taught you to play it safe to keep you protected. After all, they love you, right?
But do you wonder if any of those boundaries may prevent really good things from happening?
Aha! – the most impeding limits are limiting beliefs.
Pushing a limit – taking a risk – isn’t a bad thing.
The question is, are the limits that you accept a habit or an enlightened choice?
Limiting beliefs about your growth and potential may have been planted by someone – likely that same seed was watered by many in the name of “safety” – so could it be time to question whether the choice of honoring those beliefs is still valid?
Take a step back and ask yourself, “What habitual limiting belief is playing in my head and my heart that is keeping my true spirit from soaring!?”
Is it about money? About accomplishment? Education? Membership? New business? A book? Physical transformation?
Some people say it’s better to be safe than sorry.
But really … if you always play it safe, you might be sorry!
At the end of the day, we regret the things we didn’t do more than the things we did!
Get super comfy taking a risk on yourself.
After all, when you make up your mind to be so, you are unstoppable!
