A Human Approach

Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Aha!  Moment Monday

Science Alert!  Deep within the hearts of Neptune and Uranus it could be raining diamonds!  Diamonds!

Michelle Starr recently shared, “The hypothesis goes that the intense heat and pressure thousands of kilometres below the surface of these ice giants should split apart hydrocarbon compounds, with the carbon compressing into diamond and sinking even deeper towards the planetary cores.”

So underneath the serene blue exterior is the right mixture of elements and enough heat and pressure to produce diamonds.

Do you feel, sometimes, that you are living in a pressure cooker – creating, morphing, learning, envisioning, building – but your host of elements are limited to technology?

“While people may appreciate technology even more now, human touchpoints are still essential.” says Denise Dahlhoff, senior researcher at The Conference Board.

Aha! ~ Maybe your diamonds just need a little more of you

While we are in a time when, regardless of the stage of the customer journey, digital interaction is prevalent, Dahlhoff reminds us that the human element compliments tech efficiency and maximizes the customer experience.

Understand that without the heat and pressure, Uranus’ core is simply a combination of elements, in this case hydrogen, helium, and a small amount of methane.  It might take a little extra effort right now – okay, a lot of extra effort – but finding ways to include your personal touch is an element that can’t be ignored.

“You are, at this moment, standing right in the middle of your ‘acres of diamonds’.”  ~ Earl Nightingale
